What about the climate impact of NFT and how does Sayl reduce that?
Sustainability is an important topic for Sayl cloud and we share concerns that certain blockchain technology is energy intensive.
For this reason, from the very start of our web3 activities, we have searched for those parties that are able to limit our ecological footprint. After careful analysis, eventually we choose for Hedera to run our blockchain operations. Hedera is a third generation DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) and does not use Proof-of-Work but Proof-of-Stake and a consensus mechanism.
The whole architecture of Hedera allows them speed, scalability and climate neutrality. As even that was not enough, the Hedera council works together with environmental organisations to sponsor them with CO2 reducing activities, making them Carbon neutral.
